August 2022 Meeting

IPSWICH B.S. AUGUST MEETING

The society held their Colour Competition show at their August meeting and invited Geoff Murrells, past chairman and president of the society, to judge the four classes. There was a total of 15 birds in the four classes from 9 exhibitors.

Before judging the classes there was a discussion on the recent open show and the chairman Bill Squires presented the new David Rafis Trophy for most points gained at the open show to Ghalib & Janice Al-Nasser who gained 60 points. Peter & Sandra Stevens were second with 51 points and Andy Brooks was third with 50 points.

In the colour competition the chairman welcomed the new junior member to the club Phoebe Nottingham. The overall winners of the competition were Peter & Sandra Stevens with an opaline grey green hen. This was followed by Andy Brooks lutino hen. Martin Frost was third best with an opaline cinnamon light green hen and newcomer Michael Locking was fourth with a spangle light green cock.
