May 2023 Meeting

This month the club conducted its young Bird show. This consisted of 6 classes. Eight members contributed to the show bringing a total of 34 birds. Considering the exhibits were all young birds and no more than 6 months old, they were to a good standard, I expect a few of these will do very well this show season. Best in Show was produced by Ghalib and Janice Al- Nasser,a Remarkable Yellow Lacewing. The birds were judged by club member Graham Barton, Graham at the conclusion of the judging went on to explain his reasoning and decision process to reach his conclusions. There was then a general interesting discussion regarding the hobby to conclude the meeting.

• Other Blue Peter and Sandra Stevens
• Other Grey – Michael Locking
• Other Green – Ghalib and Janice Al-Nasser
• Any other Bird – Bill Hewitt
