July 2019 Meeting

 

22 members were present at the July 2019

The July meeting was in the main a PRE SHOW discussion and arrangements to establish that all is in place for the ANNUAL SHOW in a couple of days time.On the 28th of July

The evening was conducted after the last day of the July heatwave with thunder and lightning all around.

Show Secretary Peter Stevens reported that all the entries were in and all was finalised. Joint Show managers George Mcmillan and Graham Barton reported that the working party was arranged for the day before for erection of the stands and that on the basis that to have a good show you have to have  good chief Steward. These had yet to be approached.

On General matters,Peter and Sandra Stevens reported that they had attended the Tendering Show and by invitation from Colchester |club invited to share their stand and had a mini aviary of birds on show.Both the press and the general public showed great interest in.

It was reported that Ipswich members are having success on the shows so far this year,namely Janice and Ghalib Al-Nasser,Martin Frost,Peter and Sandra Stevens and Dennis Collins.Also recently qualified Graham Barton has done four shows this year with more to follow.

After a refreshments,Bill organised some entertainment with stand up Bingo followed by a quiz which was enjoyed by all
