The clubs Annual show was held on the 28th July 2019.It was dedicated as the “Doug Austin Memorial Show” who passed away earlier this year.Doug was a Honoury member of the club for many years.He was a champion bird breeder from Norwich.

There were 482 birds benched on the day.Four Judges travelled from Humberside,Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.Some top quality exhibitors were out in force from all around East Anglia.

Best Any age in Show was Kevin Shillings from Lowestsoft with his Spangle Green Cock

Four Judges were in attendance to select the winning birds,Their comments were as follows

Chris Snell – Impressed with the top six Cock birds,The champion Any Age was top quality, but a bit disappointed with the quality of the hens.The Junior Young bird was an outstanding Grey Green Dominant Pied cock.I always enjoy judging as i have done so for 38 years.

Geoff Tuplin – I had the pleasure of Judging the Best in Show but it was very close against a very nice sky blue bird.Champion young cock birds were disappointing,the first three in line were all hens.A Grey hen was best Young bird,The second was a little bit loose,but i had a super day

Simon Devaney – I agree with my fellow Judges comments on the birds,The apple pie at lunch was fantastic.

Ken Brockwell – There was a quality of birds to select from throughout,some had missing flights and down on condition overall impressed.I had an enjoyable day and would come again.

The show ran smoothly owing to many members of the club in addition to outside help from other members of clubs.
