Annual General Meeting 2026

The society held its AGM on 26^th February with 11 members in attendance. The chairman, Ghalib Al-Nasser, called for a minute’s silence in the memory of Peter Stevens, past president, who passed away the day before after a short stay in hospital. All members present agreed that the open gold championship show on 26^th July will be dedicated as “The Peter Stevens Memorial Show”.

The following Officers were elected (all uncontested) as follows:

• President – Martin Frost
• President Elect –  John Gibbens
• Chairman – Ghalib Al-Nasser
• Vice Chairman – Martin Frost
• General Secretary – Darren Dunnage
• Membership Secretary / Treasurer – Sandra Stevens
• Show Organiser  – Ghalib Al-Nasser
• Show Manager – George McMillian
• Show & Patronage Secretary – Janice Al-Nasser
• Publicity Officer – John Gibbens & Ghalib Al-Nasser
• Social Secretary – Sandra Stevens
• Sponsorship Officer – Darren Dunnage
• Web site manager – John Gibbens
• Auditor – Graham Barton

Judges booked for the open show on 26^th July are Mark Gulley, Brian Reese & Maurice Roberts.

The society introduced a new “Winding Up” rule which was passed as follows:

“In the event of a resolution to wind up The Society being passed by a simple majority of the paid-up members present at the winding up meeting; its funds shall be donated to societies/charities agreed at that meeting”
